An Ode to Dean’s Butt Crack

by Phil Marler

On the first weekend in May

Teardrops come out to play,

And rendezvous at Lake Shasta

Where life slows and ain’t fast-a.

But it’s on Saturday night

In a ceremonial rite,

That we gather for chili

And recite poems that are silly.

But whether it’s cloudy or clear,

Or you’re sitting far or sitting near,

The “moon” will be showing

As Dean keeps the fire going.

In a scene that’s obscene

Around a fire that’s keen,

Your heart will attack

At the sight of Dean’s butt crack.

Some will laugh and delight

At that horrible sight,

But a campout would lack

Without a fire and Dean’s butt crack!
